  • United States v. Gurry: lead appellate counsel and member of trial team that secured acquittal on lead predicates in RICO prosecution of former VP of Managed Markets at Insys Therapeutics.

  • United States v. Tucker: lead sentencing and appellate counsel to defendant convicted of human trafficking, who received a sentence 19 years lower than the government requested.

  • United States v. Alphas: lead author of brief for appellant in case of first impression before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit establishing the method of calculating loss under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines in insurance fraud cases.

  • Commonwealth v. Hayes: Lead appellate counsel for individual convicted of sex trafficking and related charges for allegedly operating several brothels in the Boston area. The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court recently decided to hear a challenge to the jury instructions raised by both Mr. Hayes and his co-defendant.

  • Commonwealth v. Lucey: Lead appellate counsel to former MBTA driver convicted of workers’ compensation fraud and related counts for allegedly staging assault on green line trolley.
